Wishing Star fosters hope, community and lasting memories by granting wishes for children with terminal, life-threatening or medically complicated conditions and supporting their families beyond the wish.
The Wishing Star Foundation was started by the caring heart of a Spokane first grade teacher, Karen Kurowski. This amazing teacher experienced a young boy in her class who passed away from brain cancer.
Wishing Star could not do the work that it does without the support of generous donors. Whether you choose to become a monthly donor or help us with our wish list, there are many ways to give. Make a secure online donation by clicking the button below.
Wishing Star Foundation grants wishes to children ages 3 to 21 with terminal, life-threatening or medically complicated conditions living in Spokane, Tri-Cities and outlying areas.
REFER A CHILD
Volunteers are an essential part of the foundation's success. Over 300 volunteers in Wishing Star’s service area make wishes come true by meeting kids, helping at events, doing office work, spreading the mission, making connections and more.
