Wishing Star believes in building our communities! When a Wish Kid is welcomed into our program, we support the families long beyond the original wish granting. This provides opportunities for Wish Families throughout the year!
Whether it is a ticket to a local event, offering assistance through our Christmas Giving Program or supporting families through medical traveling. Wishing Star aims to keep our families connected in our community so that together we can create lasting memories and friendships.
Wishing Star supports our families long after the wish is granted. Unfortunately, when working with terminal children you are not always supporting the happiest or easiest time of their life. The After the Wish Program offers support to families in the heartbreaking event of a Wish Kid’s passing.
If that occurs, the Wishing Star Foundation is here to support the families through grief counseling, funeral/memorial arrangements and more so that we are supporting the overall healing of the family. Losing a child, a sibling and a family member is absolutely devastating. When we lose someone in our Wishing Star family, we all grieve the loss!
Our community is filled with amazing wish stories that we love to share! Every wish is customized to the specific dream of that Wish Kid, and we have touching stories and tremendous donors who we recognize with each story.

This section is for active Wish Kids & Families only. Once we accept a Wish Kid into our program, we welcome the entire family into our Wishing Star Foundation family! We do our best to keep our Wish Families connected via our Beyond the Wish program so that after each personalized wish is granted, the kids can still stay connected long beyond the wish is granted.
