WISHES GRANTED

Emiliano

Emiliano’s wish was to go to a Raider’s home game. he and his family adventured to Las Vegas and not only got to experience a Raider’s home game, but a VIP sideline experience, the New York New York roller coaster, dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, a visit to the Hollywood car Museum to see his favorite car from the Fast and furious movies and more!

Rilyn

(age 16, SP) – Rilyn is a lovely young lady who’s favorite pass time is horseback riding! She has Mitral valve stenosis, and had open heart surgery in 2021, and unfortunately will eventually need to have a second one. In the meantime, Rilyn’s wish is to either go horseback riding with Chris Pratt or to attend the CMA’s in Nashville. We are working to make one of those wishes happen in 2023.

Matthew & Shane

(age 15, SP) – These twin brothers both suffer from Tourette’s; their verbal and physical ticks make everyday life complicated and sometimes embarrassing. But these boys take it all in stride, and continue to bring joy and light to everyone they meet! Shane wishes for a trip to Disneyland in California. Matthew wishes for a Gaming Room Makeover (which we are currently partnering with Brother’s Flooring to accomplish).

Chloe

Chloe

(age 13, SP) – Chloe has a neuromuscular disease that makes going outside to play with the other kids painful and difficult. Over the years, Chloe has become a gamer kid, and her favorite character being Sonic the Hedgehog. So much so that she has a pet hedgehog named Kyle! Chloe wishes to have a room makeover, complete with a gaming computer and a new living space for Kyle! We’re partnering with SDSN to make Chloe’s wish a reality!

LaMarquise

(age 4, TC) – At first glance, LaMarquise aka Marqwan might seem like any other 4-year-old boy, he loves to play with hot wheels and is obsessed with all things Avengers, he is the baby of the family and brings laughter and joy to everyone around him! What is not immediately visible is the battle Marqwan has been fighting since he was six months old, against an incredibly rare, life-threatening genetic disorder to which there is no known optimal treatment. In his four short years Marqwan and his family have spent many hours, days, weeks and months in hospitals, at appointments and on calls trying to keep him safe and figure out the best way to manage his condition. Marqwan’s wish is to visit Disneyworld with his family.

(age 8, TC)  – At first glance Edward seems like an average 8-year-old boy who loves Percy Jackson, video games, football and tortilla soup. He is silly and energetic, enjoys camping with his family, fishing and baseball. You wouldn’t know it just by looking at him, but this sweet little boy spent over 100 days in the hospital battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia over the course of two years. Edward dreams of visiting a “warm beach” with his family. So we are working on putting together a magical and memorable trip to California. Edward’s courage and hope inspire us, and we can’t wait to make his wish come true.

Mason loves being apart of his 4H community, so naturally his wish was to travel to Fort Worth to the biggest Stock Show and Rodeo around!! He even found a new hat to complete his cowboy look!

Clara got her dream trip to Hawaii where she went fishing with her mom and sisters, kayaked to a waterfall, and ate like a queen at a luau!

Wish: Gaming Room Makeover

Chloe loves to game on her computer, but she was in need of an upgrade; so with the help of SNSD, we turned her room into a gamer’s haven! Even her hedgehog Kyle got an upgrade!

EDWARD

Wish: Trip to San Diego 
 

Edward is a sweet, courageous and silly 8-year-old boy who spent over 100 days in the hospital battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia over the course of two years. When we first welcomed Edward into our Wish family, he dreamed of visiting a “warm beach” with his mom, dad and sister. We sent them to San Diego to celebrate remission with a Spring break trip for the books! Edward and his family stayed at a four-diamond resort on the beach with three heated pools for swimming, which he and his sister took full advantage of! They visited the San Diego Zoo for a special VIP tour, got close up animal encounters at the local Discovery Center, spent half a day on a private whale watching tour and even got family photos on the beach! We are so thrilled we got to make his wish come true!

Wish: Road trip to Wisconsin 
 

Colton had the time of his life on a road trip to Oshkosh Wisconsin. Lifest, a Christian music festival graciously hosted him and his parents to have a VIP experience at their festival. Colton was thrilled to see his favorite band, Skillet, perform live; he also got to go back stage and greet them after the concert! Colton made the most of the drive to Wisconsin, stopping to visit the Corn Palace, the World’s Largest Ball of Twine, and even got a tour of Lambeau Field!

Wish: GKTW/ Disney World 

Oliver and his family took a memorable trip to the Happiest Place on Earth! Hosted by our partners, Give Kids The World, this family had a great time exploring the Magic Kingdom! Not only is Disney magical, but GKTW has it’s own magic to offer! Endless ice cream, mini-golf, a butterfly garden, and an amazing staff to help to make each families trip extra special!

Hope loves to barrel race, watch scary movies and Criminal Minds, and play video games. She has Familial Adenomatous Polyposis, which is characterized by cancer of the large intestine. Hope spent time in Disney World living her best life!

James has Koolen De Vries Syndrome. For his wish, James went to Walt Disney World to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Spooky Halloween Party with his family.

Wish: American Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course
 

Oaklee loves the TV show American Ninja Warrior and her wish was to have a Ninja course in her very own backyard. She now has an amazing customized obstacle course where she can run, swing and climb all year round!

Wish: Trackchair
 

Levi loves the outdoors and wanted to be able to camp, hike and enjoy the outdoors with his family. His wish was to have a Trackchair that would allow him to play in the snow, sand and dirt all year long! Wish: Souped up Subaru 
 

Landen loves his Subaru and he wanted it to be ‘souped’up and customized with lots of cool add-ons and pizazz! Boy was he surprised when he saw his buffed up, newly painted Subaru with all the bells and whistles!

Logan

Wish: US Open Tennis Tournament 
 

Logan has been battling cancer. After a year of planning and lots of ups and downs, Logan was able to go on his Wish to the US Open. The US Tennis Association picked up Logan and his family in an official USTA car to bring them to the famous Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. They got to watch all of the semifinal and final matches. During the four days that Logan watched the US Open, he was treated like a star. The first two days they were in a beautiful suite, and for the finals, the USTA had pulled out all the stops by seating Logan in the Presidential Suite surrounded by celebrities. The highlight of the trip was when Logan was honored to do the coin toss for the men’s semifinals.

Sawyer

SAWYER

Wish: Dallas Cowboys Game 
 

Sawyer lives in Prosser, WA. When she was a baby she contracted E-coli Bacterial Meningitis with hydrocephalus, which requires a VP shunt to be placed in her head. Sawyer has endured many hospital stays with lots of surgeries to help her. Despite all of her struggles, she is a bright light and has a very uplifting personality with lots of humor. She loves dogs and working with children. Sawyer has a twin sister whom she is very close with. Sawyer’s wish was to meet Dak Prescott, starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowyboys. Not only did she meet Dak, she attended the Cowyboys vs Seahawks on Christmas Eve 2017, where she also met many of the Cowboys coaches and players, and got VIP access to the Cowyboys facility.

Sarah

Wish: Backyard Deck and Hot Tub 

Sarah lives in Spokane with her family. While undergoing surgery to combat brain cancer, challenging circumstances occurred causing her to need care 24/7 by her family and nurses. Sarah is non verbal, so when we visited with the family we looked at what we can do to help make caring for her easier in some way. Thanks to many, many generous community members, Sarah and her family received a backyard deck and a hot tub, allowing Sarah to spend time with her family outdoors–her favorite place to be! Special thanks to the Spokane Homebuilders Association, Spokane Remodeler’s Association, Bob Wright and all of the businesses and individuals who rallied on behalf of this Wish.

Wish: Convaid Trekker Stroller 
 

Admir is a sweet 13-year-old boy with Hydro-cephalic Cerebral Palsy, Chronic Respiratory Distress, Seizure disorders and more. But all of that does not stop Admir from being a happy boy! Admir’s Wish was for a Convaid Trekker Stroller so he can enjoy family outings. A month after he got the stroller, the family has decided he can now go to school for the first time. We are beyond excited to help make this happen for him.

Ryan

Wish: Blizzcon Convention – California 

Ryan was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in June 2013. In November 2013 he was declared cancer free, only to find out it was back in May 2014. Ryan underwent a strict regimen of chemo had a bone marrow transplant. His Wish was to attend the BlizzCon gaming convention in California. Ryan said the experience was “the most amazing time of my life. I knew the moment I walked through those doors that I had found my tribe.”

Wish: GKTW/ Disney World
 

Trevor lives in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. He has dopa-responsive dystonia with developmental disabilities. He loves to swim and play at the beach. Trevor wished to go to Give Kids the World Village and Disneyworld with his family during Christmas. They had an amazing time, and Trevor had so much fun he wished he could have moved in there!

Wish: Trip to Kauai
 

Jackie (left) battled Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She is now cancer free! Her Wish was to go to Kauai to hike, snorkel, zip-line and lay on the beach. Jackie had the time of her life and was able to do all the things on her list. They explored so much of the island they put 1100 miles on the rental car. She is now on her way back to college in Boise.

Gabriel

Wish: Formula 1 Race – Texas
 

Gabriel has been battling brain cancer. His Wish was to attend the 2016 Formula 1 Race in Austin, TX. He got to meet two of his favorite drivers, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton. Gabriel was invited to the VIP Mercedes tent for the day, where he was able to meet and hang out with the drivers.

Alexandria

ALEXANDRA

Wish: Trip to New York City 
 

Alexandra has cystic fibrosis, a chronic lung disease. Despite her illness she is very much a normal young woman. She loves to be with her family and friends and enjoys shopping, babysitting, photography and doing her hair and make-up. When she was young she attended the Guild School, and she continues to work with them on their annual penny drive and walk. Like many young adults, she dreams of traveling. Her Wish was a trip to New York City, where she celebrated her 21st birthday. She was able to see all the sights on her list and more. Allie loves Elmo, so for her 21st birthday she ate at a New York restaurant called Elmo. She was beyond excited!

Kurt

Wish: Therapy Pool 

Kurt has FOP- Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva- which is one of the rarest, most disabling genetic conditions. He loves to play basketball, soccer, baseball and go swimming. Kurt’s Wish was to have a warm-water therapy pool to help him with mobility and soothe his sore body. Thanks to a couple of local citizens and businesses who heard about his story and decided to take action for him, Kurt’s wish came true!

Wish: Trip to Hawaii 

Aiden has Transverse Myelitis. Aiden’s Wish was to visit Aulani Disney Resort. Unfortunately, he became sick the day after they arrived in Hawaii and spent the first three days in the hospital. He was unable to fly home because he was too weak to make the flight. The family was able to stay another week with the help of family and friends funding the extra days. The Ronald McDonald House in Hawaii also housed the family for two days until they could fly home. We are grateful the family was finally able to enjoy their time in Hawaii and make some awesome family memories!

Wish: University of Idaho Tuition 
 

Chase was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when he was 15. He likes rap, hip-hop and country music. He also enjoys football and basketball. His Wish was to have tuition assistance for the University of Idaho. The university saw his story and granted him a full ride!

Casey lives in Spokane and is battling against brain tumors. He is studying to be a lineman. His Wish was to visit somewhere warm with his family. They went on a wonderful vacation to O’ahu, HI.
